- Oversees all aspects of the annual awards dinner and auction, and awards for Citizen,
Business, Businessperson, and Students. |

in conjunction with this awards night dinner, with more than 300 in attendance. |

PROGRAMS - Schedules
speakers for luncheon membership meetings. |
|
Benefit &/or Service: Current & interesting
topics to meet the needs of the membership.

|
OUTSTATNDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
COMMITTEE - Evaluates all high school scholarship applicants and presents
finalists to Board of Directors for final approval. |

Benefit &/or Service: youth education. |

|
SPECIAL PROJECTS COMMITTEE
- Educational and informational seminars, networking opportunities, and community
activities.

Benefit &/or Service: Seminars (enrichment),
After Hours (networking), concerts at the gazebo (advertising opportunity & community
betterment), S.U.R.E. Clean-up (community betterment), Holiday Magic at the gazebo
(community betterment, business opportunity to donate services and be recognized)

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/REVENUE COMMITTEE
- Strives to find ways to continue to enhance economic and community development.
Also works on revenue enhancement. |

Benefit &/or Service: works cooperatively
with the City of Ralston, and others providing a better environment for businesses
and the community, while also seeking ways to aid retention and expansion of businesses,
and attract new businesses to the area.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
- Reviews legislation and evaluates issues which are of interest to the membership.
During the Legislative Session the committee studies how proposed bills will affect
our ability to conduct profitable businesses.

Benefit &/or Service: The ability to make
informed decisions in local elections.
|
|
|
GOLF OUTING COMMITTEE
- Coordinates the Annual Golf Outing .
|
|
Benefit &/or Service: Networking while having
fun. Hole Sponsorships and donations for a raffle. All donations are advertised
through golf outing and newsletter. |

|
INDEPENDENCE DAY COMMITTEE
- Coordination of all aspects of the 4th of July activities & Parade. |
|
Benefit &/or Service: Brings over 40,000
people into the Ralston Area . Allows for advertising through newspaper; promotion
through raffle tickets; sponsorship of individual activities.

|
SMALL BUSINESS COUNCIL
- new in 2006, this council will evaluate and implement new programs focused on
the needs of our small business members, which may include among others, Small Business
Luncheons, Round Table Discussions, and special seminars. |

Benefit &/or Service: Works to advance development
of small business, providing information, education, and networking to improve business
quality, image, and profitability, And providing tools and resources to help small
business grow and prosper.

MEMBERSHIP and AMBASSADORS CLUBS
- These committees represent the Chamber and call on current Chamber members, attend
open houses and ribbon-cuttings, etc. They also call on prospective businesses to
solicit new chamber members. |

Benefit &/or Service: Increased membership
means increased business opportunities. Provides community awareness of new, remodeled,
or grand opening of businesses. Contacts membership with regard to networking opportunities.
Increases visibility for Membership & Ambassador Committee members. |

meetings and activities you are encouraged to meet other members for mutual business
opportunities. Also, if you need an organization, business, or government contact,
the chamber can connect you to that resource.

- The chamber office continually makes information available.

- The chamber receives numerous requests for names of local businesses, organizations,
